There are various ways in which we can become resilient in our workplaces:
Finding purpose: Reconnect with your goals, aims, values and passions to find meaning in your endeavours. Instead of feeling worried and disheartened during challenging times find motivation from positive past experiences and achievements no matter how small.
Embrace change: See change as an opportunity for growth and cultivating of new experiences. By embracing change, you can learn to adapt more easily to any personal or professional tranisitions, fostering resilience and fexbility in complex processes.
Become optimistic: Practice positive thinking and focus on opportunities rather than negativities. Look for positives rather than limitations and maintain a hopeful outlook, enabling you to believe in yourself to overcome inhibiting situations.
Be realistic: Break down big goals into smaller, manageable chunks allowing you to make sustainable progress and celebrate the small successes. Adjust your goals as you are moving along the journey and recognise that flexibility and adaptability are pivotal components of resilience.
Practice Self-Care: Prioritize your physical, mental and emotional well-being by engaging in activities that promote relaxation, reduce stress and provide spaces for self-reflection. Make time for exercise, hobbies or relaxation techniques.
We recommend the following three sources that can support you in fostering resilience.
