Reflective Blogging for Impact: a pathway to employability, equity, and societal impact in Higher Education

I am pleased to announce that my proposal for my new project – Reflective Blogging for Impact: A Pathway to Employability, Equity, and Societal Impact in Higher Education – has been approved and funded with the support of a bursary for all students who participate. This marks a milestone in our Positive Academia mission to enhance learning and actively build more inclusive, equal, diverse, and supportive teaching and learning communities.

This project is part of the students as Co-Creators Program at the University of Westminster which is designed to empower students and staff to work together as equal partners. By embracing this approach, we are cultivating an environment where every voice matters, and learning is transformed into a collaborative and creative journey. This initiative enables students to shape their educational experience while gaining hands-on skills that extend beyond the classroom.

Creating Positive Impact for Teaching and Learning @University of Westminster: Visiting the National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park

It was field trip time for our Master level students of the Multi Platforms Communication Module (2023-2024)! Together with Asher Rospigliosi Pallavicini, we visited the National Computing Museum at Bletchley Park. Many thanks go to Dr. Richard Berry (Head of the School of Management and Marketing) who agreed to fund the trip and Josh Scott from the Wellbeing Support Team who assisted me with all the administrative tasks! You made this enriching experience possible, and it would not have happened without you 😊! Many thanks also go to Aisha Dhama who assisted and supported me with various tasks during the trip. I am very grateful for your help, and it made a very positive impact on my own experience 😊

Well-Being Activities for Teaching (2022)

As a contribution to the Positive Academia Initiative, launched by Anne-Wil Harzing in 2022 (see #Positiveacademia), I developed a guide to integrating well-being activities for teaching. The aim of the activities is to positively focus and support students’ well-being during teaching sessions. I had the privilege to present this guide in a talk for the teaching and learning showcase by CAPE at Middlesex University (click HERE for further information).
